ICAAM and IIFA from the University of Évora, will organise this year the III PhD Students Meeting in Environment and Agriculture on the 29th and 30th November in the University of Évora.

This event intends to stimulate the interaction between PhD students, to streamline scientific discussion and highlight the ones who will become the researchers of the future. Everyone working on these research areas is invited to participate in this Meeting and submit an abstract. However, oral communications will be selected from the abstracts submitted by PhD students only.

This meeting is dedicated to PhD students working on Mediterranean Agro-Silvo-Pastoral Systems; Olive Grove, Vineyard and Other Cultures; Biodiversity and Ecosystems Functioning; Animal Production and Health; Other Approaches Applied to Environment and to Agriculture.

Besides the PhD students associated to ICAAM (BiologyAgronomic and Environmental Sciences, BiochemistryVeterinarian Sciences, Interdisciplinary Landscape Management and Food Science), PhD students from other Research Centres and Universities are also welcomed.

The Meeting will have a scientific congress structure, with invited speakers on five thematic sessions and will be held at Pólo da Mitra  – Universidade de Évora.

A field trip (to be announced) will be organised at Pólo da Mitra, regarding the interaction between Environment and Agriculture.

It is also an excellent opportunity for the outsiders to get to know the beautiful city of Évora, an UNESCO World Heritage.
